Quality Assurance

At American Clinical Laboratory, every aspect of quality control has been set forth from specimen collection through reporting the test results to provide the highest quality of results.

Every facet of Quality Assurance is implemented at American Clinical Laboratory and is maintained with Specimen processing, innovative technology, data entry, Resulting, and a comprehensive internal and external Quality Control program.

Our multitiered Quality Control system encompasses a wide variety of techniques to ensure reliable, precise, and accurate results. These techniques are outlined below.

  • ACL participates in the College of American Pathology Proficiency Testing Program for every test performed in our lab. Our performance is compared to our peers and is monitored closely by CAP.
  • All results are reviewed by one of our senior technologists and our pathologist – when necessary the result is verified by an alternate methodology.
  • Our internal Quality Control program utilizes multi-levels of “approved” quality control material. Our QC results are monitored daily and monthly by our lab supervisor.
  • We participate in an Inter-laboratory Quality Assurance Program to insure our controls and test systems are performing at the highest level of industry standards.
